senior policy and communications officer

Anna Passingham became Senior Policy and Communications Officer in June 2008. Previously she had been Policy and Information Officer since June 2007 and an Advice Worker at Counsel and Care since October 2004. Prior to coming to Counsel and Care, she was a Home Care Manager for Anchor Care domiciliary care agency.

project officer

Maureen Jackson project manages Counsel and Care's programme of events designs and disseminates membership publications, including the newsletter and bulletins. Maureen also maintains Counsel and Care's website.

information officer

Laura Bennett joined Counsel and Care as an Information Officer in July 2009. She is responsible for monitoring Counsel and Care's media coverage, as well as media coverage of older people's issues; updating our range of Guides; helping our Advice Team to keep up-to-date with changes in policy and information; producing our monthly Policy and Information Briefing and maintaining our Library.

Laura has over ten years experience of volunteering and working in the voluntary sector: Information Officer for The Big Opportunity Direct (an information service to help London's voluntary and community sector get involved in the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games) which she launched and managed at Greater London Volunteering; Information Officer in Volunteering England's Information Team - answering enquiries about good practice in volunteer management; Advice Worker, Trainer and Group Facilitator for Mind in Brighton and Hove; national Women and Mental Health Infoline Co-ordinator and Women's Drop-In Service Worker for Threshold's Women and Mental Health Initiative, where her career started as a Volunteer.
