how we can help you

Our experienced advice team have a wealth of knowledge about the community care and health systems and how they affect people over 60, their families and carers.  We cover a range of issues including care homes and care home funding, arranging help at home, and accessing and applying for benefits. If we cannot help, we will put you in touch with someone else who can.

We have access to Language Line, a translation and interpretation service, so if you need advice or information in another language, just let us know and we will arrange it for you.

The advice team have been awarded the Community Legal Service Quality Mark which means we are recognised as a provider of high quality advice and information.

tailored advice

What makes Counsel and Care different is our individual approach – our advice and information is tailored for every person that contacts us.  We allow people time to explain their situations, talk them through the action they need to take, and follow up with a tailored letter – so that people have a resource they can come back to again and again.
