Age Exchange
Age Exchange aims "to improve the quality of life for older people by emphasising the value of their memories to old and young, through pioneering artistic, educational, and welfare activities".
Age Concern England
An organisation representing older people, and campaigning for equality and rights. It operates local branches across the UK which can provide face-to-face support and services.

Alzheimer's Society
Publishes leaflets and gives information and advice to people who live with dementia and their carers. Can provide details of local groups and campaigns on behalf of people with dementia.
British Red Cross
Provides free short-term support for independent living, including transport services, care in the home, therapeutic massage, and loan of medical equipment, as well as selling a range of independent living products.
Carers UK
Provides advice, information and support to carers on all issues affecting them and the person they are caring for.
Coalition for Quality in Care
The Coalition for Quality in Care consists of 40 organisations and individuals who share a common concern in promoting the well being of older people receiving long-term care in a wide range of settings and differing circumstances.
Disabled Living Foundation
Assists older and disabled people to find suitable equipment to help them achieve greater mobility and independence.
Elderly Accommodation Counsel
A UK wide charity which provides detailed information on all forms of accommodation for older people. It can locate care homes and sheltered housing schemes in a local area, providing details of the accommodation available.
Friends of the Elderly
A grant giving charity that also provides a combination of nursing, residential and dementia care from nine sites and support services to people through day centres or in their own homes.
Help the Aged
A national organisation offering advice and help on many issues relating to older people, including benefits and accommodation. Also campaigns against age discrimination and for better universal services. Provides a number of useful factsheets.
Independent Age
Can assist older people on low incomes by providing regular and emergency grants, and can provide aids and adaptations.
National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (Napa)
An organisation providing training and establishing standards for purposeful activity in the wide spectrum of settings from day care to nursing homes.
Nursing Home Fees Agency (NHFA)
The NHFA are independent financial advisors who can provide information about care home fees and funding a place in a care home. They can also advise on long-term insurance policies for care home fees.
Parkinson's Disease Society
Provide support, advice and information to people with Parkinson's their carers, families and friends, and to health and social services professionals involved in management and care.
The Relatives and Residents Association
Offer information and support to all involved in long term care.
