parliamentary work

Counsel and Care seeks to influence government on the key issues facing older people and their families and carers today. We work with all parties to ensure that older people are a key part of their election manifestos. View Voting Age: an older people's manifesto.

Counsel and Care has submitted evidence to government select committees, all-party parliamentary groups and key influential organisations on the care and support of older people. We do this in our own right and as members of coalition groups (see our partnerships). By ensuring that we participate in these key partiamentary discussions, we can continue to improve services for older people, their families and carers.View Counsel and Care's responses to select committees and APPGs.

Counsel and Care provides the Secretariat for the APPG on Housing and Care for Older People. View information about the APPG, minutes of previous meetings and details of future meetings.
