With an increasing older population and people working longer, providing the right information and advice at the right time is essential for older people their families and carers.
Our expert information and advice service can help employees who are caring for an older person on a wide range of issues including:
- Exploring options when an older person is finding it difficult to manage in their home
- Housing options, including finding a suitable care home
- Mental capacity issues
- How fees for care homes and other services will be paid for
- Looking after yourself as a carer

A word from one of our partners:
“Employees Matter is delighted to be working in partnership with Counsel and Care to deliver employee talks on family care issues, such as ‘what a carer needs to know’. Employers are looking to understand more about working carers and the day to day dilemmas they face. By providing these sessions, employers are supporting their employees with caring responsibilities and giving them guidance on how they can access reliable and good quality information and advice.”
