ElderCare Week 2010: Everybody needs to know about ElderCare options
Our annual ElderCare Week takes place this week. During the week we are calling for advice and information to be made more accessible for older people, their families and carers. As part of this, we are promoting Counsel and Care's range of fully updated guides and factsheets.
As part of ElderCare Week, Counsel and Care is launching the results of a survey of over 1,300 UK adults, which reveals that there is a severe lack of public understanding of and information avaliable on the care system for older people. We found that just 5% believe the social care system is easy to navigate and 79% think that not enough is done to tell people about the care options avaliable. Read more about ElderCare week
